Message from the Principal |
At Byron Elementary, I am proud to work alongside an extraordinary team whose joint goal is to both educate and nurture all our students. Our collaborative climate and supportive safe school environment lends itself to the positive atmosphere that is pervasive on our campus.
Our teachers are dedicated, hard working educators who are life learners themselves. An enriched, standards-based instruction is provided through collegial partnerships and staff development. Teachers continue to refine their instructional skills through book study discussions, grade level meetings, and attending various workshops during the summer.
Our PTO works tirelessly to support Byron Elementary. They plan our fundraising events that enable them to provide music supplies, and physical education equipment, quality assemblies, funds for field trips, supplies and a multitude of other things to our campus. We are grateful for the hours of volunteer work time that they provide for our students. They are truly an amazing group of dedicated individuals that enhance the programs and activities here at BES.
Our families also play a vital role in the education of our children and offer incredible support in and out of the classroom. We invite you to participate in our PTO to further extend the opportunities we can provide. We believe that collaborative decision-making and strong staff and parental involvement make our school a dynamic place to learn and work.
Please take an active role in your child's education. Don't wait until there is a problem before you come to the school to see what's going on in the class. Check in with your child's teacher periodically.
As the instructional leader here at Byron Elementary, I am dedicated to providing an environment that supports students, teachers and parents as partners in the educational process.
