The Soaring Eagle Program was developed to promote and encourage good behavior and positive attitudes toward fellow students teachers and staff. Many times a Soaring Eagle may excel academically but this is not a determining factor for the selection process. This year at Byron Elementary we have implemented a "Character Word of the Month". Each homeroom teacher will select an outstanding student that exemplifies characteristics for the Character Word of the month and that student will be acknowledged in front of their family and fellow students during our monthly awards ceremony.
