Byron Elementary has chosen the 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year and is happy to announce that the honor goes to Mrs. Kerby Layfield. Mrs. Layfield is a dedicated third grade teacher at BES whose work ethic and classroom management skills are a testament to her daily classroom "groove." The students' fondness for her shows in our hallways, the lunchroom, the classroom, the playground, and beyond. The respect that her peers have for her certainly shines through in this year's TOTY honor.
